Over 600 toys collected during PSJA ISD Holiday Toy Drive led by Transportation Department

PHARR - In a commitment to giving back to the community, the staff of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD organized a Holiday Toy Drive aimed at benefiting students during the festive season. The initiative was primarily orchestrated by the PSJA Transportation Department in collaboration with district staff and schools, collecting unwrapped gifts from generous donors. 

"We have successfully gathered over 600 toys that will be distributed to our PSJA students at the upcoming PSJA Family Posada on December 21st," announced Transportation Director Jose Rivera. "Our team is diligently working to categorize the toy donations by age and gender to facilitate the distribution process during the PSJA Family Posada." 

The 4th Annual PSJA Family Posada is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the PSJA Stadium. Students selected to receive special gifts will be notified by their School Counselors prior to the event. 

Rivera expressed gratitude, stating, "Thank you to all PSJA Family members who took the time to donate a gift for this cause. These efforts underscore how much PSJA ISD cares to serve and always strives to do what's best for our students. Additionally, I extend my appreciation to my team for the time and effort they invested in this drive." 

PSJA ISD invites the community to join the 4th Annual Family Posada on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the PSJA Stadium. The event promises a festive atmosphere with food, free games, music, and more.
